Chadkirk Riddle
We start at the place where they park the cars.
Look for the picnic benches and how many there are.
Through the gate and turn to the right.
The paths by a stream, you know you’re right.
It bears to the right, you know thats true,
And Chadkirk Chapel is ahead of you.
Go to the graveyard and look around, you can’t leave until a name you know is found.
Up into the woods, the paths go up there.
Look for a bird made in a tree.
I wonder what type of bird it is you see?...................

Some information about Chadkirk Chapel and Country Estate
Chadkirk means “The Church of St Chad” and there may have been a Chapel on the site since the 7th Century.  The oldest parts of the current chapel date back to the 14th Century.  On the site there is a Chapel, St Chads Well, a 17th century farmhouse with Victorian walled garden.

To the south of the estate there once was a large calico printworks.  The only part of it left has been turned into a small industrial estate near the car park.
